When the hurricane knocked out communications for the Bay County Emergency Operations Center, 211 seamlessly accepted all calls to the Citizen information Line during the storm and six weeks thereafter.

2022 Hurricane Ian
As Hurricane Ian roared ashore
devastating Lee and Collier counties, 211 supported local emergency management systems to respond to the surge in calls.

2020 COVID 19 Pandemic
Florida 211s partnered with DCF to develop and implement a statewide rollout of the innovative telephone-based FEMA Crisis Counseling Program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2018 Parkland Shooting
211 managed post-tragedy crisis Database for students, parents, teachers and district
staff, built database of trauma-informed counseling & treatment services, trained
district staff and community on how to recognize and respond to signs of trauma.

2021 Surfside Building Collapse
Florida 211 was tapped by the Governor as one of the primary resources for crisis counseling and housing assistance to victims of the Champlain Towers building collapse.

2016 Pulse Nightclub Shooting
Immediately after the shooting, 211 stood up the mental health response line, including vital counseling services, for primary and secondary victims.

United Way Program Partner

Lyft Ride United:
Florida 211 dispatched 7,642 free rides to essential services including 2,937 for health 1,272 for employment, 608 for food, and 529 for housing.

DoorDash Last Mile Delivery:
Florida 211 centers coordinated 16,960 deliveries, representing 239,400 estimated meals.

AARP Caregivers Project: Florida 211 centers reached 11,164 Caregivers across Florida, helping to connect them to critical resources.
