Whether it’s a natural or human-caused disaster, a mental health issue, searching for job training or a food pantry, Florida 211 connects people to help, with a caring human on the other end of the phone. 

It’s a go-to, 24/7 free resource that can connect you with a wide range of social services and resources, including food, housing, utilities payment assistance, health care, transportation, child care, employment opportunities, mental health crises, disaster information and assistance, and more. 

It’s all confidential, with highly trained 211 specialists providing expert, caring help that addresses not only the presenting issue, but underlying challenges people are facing as well. 

Florida 211 is comprised of 11 nationally accredited centers that provide community resource navigation, crisis and suicide intervention, mental health referrals, disaster information, and more. Ten of the eleven centers also serve as 988 Crisis & Suicide Lifeline centers.

Inform Florida, formerly the Florida Alliance of Information & Referral Services (FLAIRS), is the collaborative organization for the Florida 211 network.

Florida 211 is a free, confidential service that connects you with local community-based organizations across the state offering thousands of different programs and services for people seeking answers. Florida 211 is comprised of 11 centers that provide community resource navigation, crisis and suicide intervention, mental health referrals, disaster information, and more. Ten of the eleven centers also serve as 988 Crisis & Suicide Lifeline centers.

Last year, almost 1 million Florida residents turned to 211 for health and human service information, community resource navigation, and mental health support.

Collectively, 211s curate databases of 1.5M programs and services nationwide and over 40,000 in the Florida statewide directory.

United Way

United Way Worldwide helps to manage 211, operating over 60% of 211 centers in the United States. In Florida, four of the eleven 211 centers are housed within their United Ways. All 211 centers receive varying levels of support and partnerships with United Ways across Florida.
